The past affects what we are capable of in the present
I have a diverse engineering background. I am also excellent with people in a multitude of business settings.
The past has seen challenges where engineering talent has had to guide political decisions to provide the best overall outcome for a situation or product.
I have had to use these talents while managing offsite projects at Sony Electronics and intra-divisional OEM DVD and firmware conflicts at HP Cupertino.
Managed a patent process for the MOPIER Printer patent discovery and documentation process at HP Boise.
Provided liaison between divisions for the implementation of the VxWorks operating system for the new Jet-Send firmware on the HP Color Laser-jet Printer.
Certain aspects of past jobs simply "feel right"
Experience has shown people will excel at what they are passionate about.
I have a passion for being creative, for new business and for new technology. A passion for closing deals, closing loops, completing and moving forward.
I always enjoy working hard to prove out a new concept or to discover something new
Motivating people is always a challenge which I excel at and enjoy sharing the rewards for such as a project well done with the people who made it possible.
Moving forward today...
I will strive to find a position in the following capacity:
Researcher
Program Manager
Project Manager
Software Engineering Manager
Wireless/Radio/DSP
Software/firmware engineer/coding.
Character of opportunity
Most of my working history has been with Fortune 100 companies as a permanent employee.
I am most interested in starting work right away. This lends itself to contracting with a phone interview and a start date.
If it is on my resume and on this website, just submit me to the job. Today's employment market is a game of odds. The more resume submissions you (and I) have, the more possibility of an interview then placement or a contract closed.
I'm open to startups in the Bay Area; and open to defense companies as I had a Secret Clearance in 1984.
In this economy, I bring to the table vast flexibility and a passion for hard work and excellence.
I look forward to working with you.
